Canada Greener Homes Initiative
The Canada Greener Homes Initiative is offering a generous grant of $1,000 per kW DC for the installation of a solar photovoltaic system. This could amount to a maximum of $5,000! Additionally, a portion of the cost for purchasing batteries for storing solar energy may also be covered.
Eligibility Criteria for Batteries
For batteries to be eligible for the grant, they must be:
- Connected to a permanently mounted photovoltaic system
- Rated for deep cycle
- Include the cost of the inverter and charge controller purchase and installation as part of the total cost
